Essentials for unique product lifecycle tracking

Core Services

Our core services, OmniTrace and ReturnFlex, capture a product's unique fingerprint and enable anonymous product tracking and comprehensive return validation, all by building and querying the IPC database through retailer transactions at the point of sale and consumer return.

OmniTrace™
Tracking products by a unique fingerprint instead of relying on customer data allows retailers and manufacturers to optimize operations while improving the customer experience.

OmniTrace provides the foundation for most of InComm Product Control's services. It captures a product's unique fingerprint (UPC + serial number) through the point of sale (POS) and transmits the transaction record to our secure database for simple and seamless lifecycle tracking. The retailer scans a product's UPC and is prompted by the POS system to scan the serial number. As the transaction completes, the serial number prints on the consumer receipt and the retailer transmits the transaction record to our database for future queries and services.
ReturnFlex®
By creating a smooth experience at the returns counter, our ReturnFlex service drastically improves business operations and customer satisfaction while validating return attempts systematically and on demand.

When presented with a consumer return, the retailer scans the UPC and is prompted by the point-of-sale (POS) system to scan the serial number. That scan initiates a real-time query to our database, where the product's transaction history and corresponding policies, terms and conditions are reviewed. Its return eligibility is then determined and relayed back to the retailer. Spanning all channels, ReturnFlex gives retailers the information they need to make fast and accurate decisions about returns.

ReturnFlex does not require a sales receipt, maximizing the customer experience. It also limits employee training costs and mitigates losses, all while integrating into your POS system.

Our suite of Enhanced Services offers additional options to customize and expand visibility into your unique product data.
